“Stevens has been a place of unlimited potential that fostered my interest in getting involved in things I'm passionate about. I was lucky enough to be a research assistant for Dr. Lindsey Cormack in the College of Arts and Letters for her recently-published book. Working alongside her, I was able to learn how to effectively communicate complex ideas outside of my area of expertise, and also to implement engineering strategies into the political science realm.
I am so grateful to the alumni and my fellow sisters of the Gamma Chi chapter who support me with the Theta Phi Alpha Sorority Scholarship. As a member of the sorority, I served positions on two Greek governing bodies on campus. This summer, I was the coordinator for freshmen orientation, and I worked with countless administrators on project management of the week-long event. These leadership positons taught me how to interact with people with different leadership styles and how to think outside of the box.
Upon graduation, I will be working as an analytical staff engineer for Systems Technology, an aerospace consulting firm in California. In my career, I want to work as a project manager within a launch vehicle company, whether it be small satellites with Virgin Orbit or crewed space missions with Lockheed Martin. At the end of the day, I want to see a rocket launch and be proud of the contribution I provided to make it possible.”
