Thanks to Stevens, and to the donors of his Class of 2008 Scholarship, Trevor feels like he is ready for the world. Through the co-op program, he has interned across New Jersey with Infineum (Linden), Radiant Energy Systems (Hawthorne), and Sun Chemical (Carlstadt), working respectively with lubricants, heating systems, and printing ink. “Stevens has provided an enriching environment for me to learn, grow, and thrive. I am grateful for all the opportunities I have had in my five years. I have developed an unbelievable amount both personally and professionally through work experience in several different industries. Through these assignments, I received training and familiarity with the motor oil industry that was essential in preparing me for my future career.”
After graduating, Trevor will take a full-time job as a formulation support technologist with BP Lubricants in Wayne, New Jersey, where he will work alongside colleagues in technology deployment. “It has been a great interest of mine to use my chemical engineering degree to contribute in a productive way of making our use of energy cleaner, more efficient, and more economical. There is an immense amount of opportunity for me, and I owe that to the support and development I have found at Stevens.”
Trevor has sung with the President’s Ensemble and served as vice president of the Stevens Dramatic Society. He has most enjoyed his time as a member and chapter president of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. “It is rewarding to be able to give back to those in an organization whose principles I so deeply connect with. I was also extremely fortunate to develop my communication, time management, and problem solving skills in that setting. One of the things I have loved about Stevens is its dedication to enabling its students to be both well-educated and well-rounded as individuals.”
