Frank M. Fawzi ’84 M.M.S. ’87
Frank M. Fawzi ’84 M.M.S. ’87 is a spectacularly successful entrepreneur who is CEO of IntelePeer, a cloud communications company based in San Mateo, California. He joined the company as CEO in 2007. Fawzi is the guiding force in supporting the company’s growth efforts in its drive to become the leading innovator of communications services and applications. Intelepeer provides on-demand cloud-based IP communications and SIP trunking services for unified communications systems, contact centers, service providers and enterprises.
Fawzi started his career as a software developer with the Merrick Corporation and later joined AT&T Bell Laboratories and worked with other divisions of AT&T, in an era of exciting innovation for the telecommunications giant. While at AT&T, he was the lead data communications architect on a team responsible for the company being awarded a $1.4 billion contract from the Internal Revenue Service.
From 1991 to 2001, Fawzi founded, built and later sold CommTech Corporation, a leader in the communications software sector, to ADC, a leading provider of broadband solutions for the telecommunications industry, for $178 million. He served on the Communications Board of the New Jersey Technology Council, which named CommTech the #1 mid-stage company of the year in 1997.
In addition to his degrees from Stevens, Fawzi has participated in the Wharton Executive Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
