Dinner and a Forum:
A Vision for a Sustainable Tomorrow on Castle Point
Wednesday, July 28, 2021
6:30 p.m. ET
Sustainability continues to be a driving principle on the Stevens campus. In the spring of 2020, the university received a STARS (Sustainability Tracking and Rating System) Gold rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), making it a member of an exclusive group of higher education institutions to attain the designation. The only other university in New Jersey with a Gold STARS rating is Princeton. Through the work of the STARS Steering Committee, led by Co-chairs Robert Maffia (Vice President for Facilities and Campus Operations) and Dr. Dibyendu 'Dibs' Sarkar (Professor of Environmental Engineering and Founding Director, Sustainability Management graduate program), the university will continue to identify and act on opportunities for expanding sustainability on campus. Join us for our upcoming Virtual Dinner and a Forum program featuring the committee’s co-chairs as they discuss the transformational work that has been taken place to date, and what is on the horizon for the immediate future on Castle Point.
