This concert is an exciting musical program tracing the journey of the famous Orient Express Train at the turn of the 20th century. The program consists of works from major European capitals like Bucharest, Budapest, Vienna, Paris and Istanbul. Included are waltzes and tangos by Debussy, Satie and Piazzolla; gypsy and czardas music by Bartok, Liszt, and Monti; operatic arias by Lehar, Strauss and Offenbach; and, Ottoman Court music from the 19th century. Performers include Members of the Chamber Music Society, Musica Mundana; Aysegul Durakoglu, Pianist and Artistic Director; Leo Grinhauz, Cello; Anthony P. Pennino, Narrator; Claudia Schaer, Violin; and Julie Ziavras, Soprano.
