The Recent Alumni and Current Students Committee (RACS) of the Stevens Alumni Association and the Stevens Office of Development & Alumni Engagement, invites you to join Sean Hanlon, CFP® ’80 for a discussion on financial success as part of the Adulting 101 series. This session will provide strategies for achieving your financial goals and making your money work for you. From young professionals to seasoned business owners, Sean has something to offer everyone.

Sean Hanlon, CFP® ’80 is the CEO of Hanlon Investment Management ("Hanlon"), an asset management, wealth management, services and financial technology company he founded in 1999.  Hanlon provides a fully integrated managed accounts program and wealth management platform for advisors, family offices, broker/dealers, banks, and institutions, along with the over 5,000 clients they serve.  Mr. Hanlon earned a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1980 and worked in engineering for three years post-graduation.  He began his career in wealth management with Merrill Lynch, was recruited to Paine Webber as the nucleus for a new office, and then formed Hanlon.  Mr. Hanlon earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 1997. He has been a member of the Stevens Institute of Technology Board of Trustees since 2010, has served as Chairman of the Investment Committee and Finance Committee, and was a Co-Chair of The Power of Stevens Campaign. Sean and his wife Cathy keep numerous charitable causes in their giving, especially Stevens and the Hanlon Financial Systems Center, which he is Chairman of the Advisory Board, located in the School of Business at Stevens.

Adulting 101 is a free webinar series created by the Recent Alumni & Current Students Committee (RACS) of the Stevens Alumni Association in partnership with the Office of Alumni Engagement primarily for young alumni and current students. It is designed to provide insight on practical life topics not addressed in traditional degree programs. Adulting 101 sessions are offered several times throughout the year, and will last approximately 45 minutes per session, followed by a Q&A.
